Brake Lights Out of Sync, So after almost a year of owning my Celica, I've never noticed thi Options

So last week I decided to switch the lugs on my rims, seeing that they were a list rusty, and while I was I doing this, I noticed that my brake lights were out of sync/out of line...
Considering I'm never behind my car when it's being driven, I guess this makes sense to not notice this.

It may help if I show some pictures of what I'm trying to describe:

With that said, this is probably an easy solution to fix, but I wanted to make sure that there weren't any major do's/don't's to wiring the brake lights/taillights, such as complications with the housings or the resistors/inhibitors.

I've scrolled through some of the Celica pics here on 6Gs and I haven't found a good representation of what the taillights should look like when the brakes are on, so I've put together some more pictures of possible brake light options. Could you guys point me in the right direction as to how I should fix this problem, as well as how they should look like?

Soon, I plan on switching out the bulbs with LEDs, like these: http://www.eautoworks.com/product-Led-33240.htm and eventually some JDM housings, but in the meantime, I'd like to fix this little brake light issue.

^ thats what I thought for example, bulbs have two filaments like ours. when driving reg. it has a dim light on both sides, keep in mind there are 2 bulbs on each side. if 1 bulb filament (for braking) is burnt out and when you brake it won't light up. To me your just on with the headlights looks normal, when you brake it doesn't. I think you need to replace the bulb with the bad filaments on both sides. Thats what it looks like - looks like an easy fix, pull out both your taillights and compare the good bulbs with the bad bulbs. 1 filament is for parking/driving and the other is for braking. You will need to replace the left outer and the right inner bulbs.
