This weekend I replaced brakes and pads on my car.
I also adjusted the hand brake shoes as per instructions elsewhere on the forum (which is basically adjust until they shoes stop the wheel from turning and then 8 clicks back). But now, when I disengage the hand brake, the light stays on... I would have imagined the hand brake light switch is on the hand brake handle itself, not on the brakes or on the hand brake cable. Can someone tell me what is causing this? I never had this problem before until today. |

Brake fluid is filled to between the markers. After changing the brakes I bled the brake system completely and of course kept topping up during the bleeding process.
Is it possible that the system hasn't got under pressure properly yet? |
