Ok, so I recently changed my plugs and wires. Cleaned what I could on the Intake manifold and the TB, as well as re-oiled my air filter. I was having a real rough idle after I did the InManifold and TB, but the plugs and wires kinda fixed that. But I still had excessive vibration at idle, but none during acceleration. Two days ago I run this road and pushed it kinda hard (I was having some fun), the next day I go to start up and everything seems fine, vibrations at idle almost all but ceased. When I pressed the pedal I got what sounds like I have a mini muffler up in my engine bay. Dont get me wrong, it sounds kinda cool just crusing under 2K (anything above that, it sounds normal). As I have never had this problem before, figured someone here might be able to figure this out.
Thanks! |

![]() Ok, so I had one that was in the engine bay, but due to the wind, fan and other noise (not to mention the crappy mic) I didnt really work out. But you can really hear it between 1K-2K. I also checked for vac leaks as I figured that might be a problem, well, dont have any of those. But when I sprayed the hell outta my T/B and connecting components, the idle smoothed out. So im gonna guess thats where part of my problem is, but it still has the throaty sound. |
