I got the Celica St, 7A-FE engine, and kinda want to do the valve adjustment/replacement if needed. I have the book that tells you how to do it, but i was wondering how hard this project would be. Should i try to do it myself or just take it to a mechanic? I've worked on cars before, but nothing hardcore like in side the engine.
If anybody can direct me to some video's or pictures of the process being done, it would be very helpful. I know i need the 2 special tools to do this job. What do you think.. Should i do it or not. Yes, I know my engine sucks, but i am broke and can only dream of having a 3S-GTE Thanks for looking. |

are you talking about shim clearance check and adjustment?
unless your hearing major valvetrain noise, that you know for a fact is bad clearances (it almost never gets that bad without somthing else being wrong, or some seriously high milage wear (no, not 100k, think 300K..lol) i wouldnt bother. especially on a 7a. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
