As the title implies. I've got these two metal half moon washers that the parts guy recommended when I ordered the gasket for my valve cover. I've got the cover off and am ready to put everything back together. Where do these things go?

The only things I had were the 4 nuts and then under those were these that look like a washer on top and a gasket on the bottom.
 I don't recall seeing anything half moon shaped, so he must have dug deeper than just the cover on a 5s. --------------------  |
