I'm running Castrol Magnatec 10w30 at the moment, Toyota specifies I have my oil changes done at one of their dealers in order to keep my new turbo warranty (It's a Toyota CT26 reconditioned). My problem is that I can't find bottled Magnatec 10w30 at any shop there only exists Magnatec 10w40 and I can't afford a Toyota oil change at the moment but I'd like to top up the oil I have since I've got another 1,500kms left till the next service interval but it's down to 1/3 oil level on dipstick.
I'm pretty sure its not good to top it up with another brand of oil, so should it be fine to mix 10w30 and 10w40? -------------------- Mike W

Winter Weight, nice. I forgot why my shop teacher said not to use 10W-30 and said they keep making it even though it is not necessary to use, but maybe it just had to do with here? It gets really windy here. Could you lube that stuff up with 5W-30?
