oil for 3s-gte, ct26 turbo Options

I'm running Castrol Magnatec 10w30 at the moment, Toyota specifies I have my oil changes done at one of their dealers in order to keep my new turbo warranty (It's a Toyota CT26 reconditioned). My problem is that I can't find bottled Magnatec 10w30 at any shop there only exists Magnatec 10w40 and I can't afford a Toyota oil change at the moment but I'd like to top up the oil I have since I've got another 1,500kms left till the next service interval but it's down to 1/3 oil level on dipstick.

I'm pretty sure its not good to top it up with another brand of oil, so should it be fine to mix 10w30 and 10w40?

Just a little paranoid I don't want to replace my turbo again so I want to make sure I do the right thing by my engine and by Toyota so I don't void my warranty. They say the previous owner used the incorrect oil weight and my service receipt shows they used Magnatec 10w30 this time round, being this they recommend to be the best weight for the 3s-gte.

I've now heard from a number of sources it should be fine to buy the bottled Magnatec 10w40 to top up my engine for now so I think I will do that, fingers crossed it doesn't cause my turbo any harm.

It wont hurt your turbo. Toyota was probably lying to you when they said the weight of the oil had anything to do with the turbo.
