Hi everyone,

I've searched throughout the forum for links on how to remove starter motor and can't find exact answer.

Basically, my car will 'tick' once ignition is turned but no power. I've checked all the ground/power wires going to starter and all are clean. Plus, it kind of 'just happened'.

Is it hard to remove starter motor?
Also, what exactly is it held on by? 2bolts + wires?

Any help much appreciated,

Cheers,
Cal.

Same happened to me... i took one from a 1997 Camry and worked ony the terminal wasnt the same so i had to cut the wire and put the good one on (dont just twist and tape the wires, do a small weld spot with those kind of welding pencils)

Yup 2 connections and one bolt on each side (one driver side one radiator side). You'll have to remove your cai if you have one. It takes 10 min to remove 10 to put it back in place.

You'll also need a 12 (might be 14) mm socket for the 2 bolts and might need to pry it a little since its probably stuck there

I knew i should have taken some pics when i did mine!!
