Car keeps blowing the gauge fuse and windows will not roll up. Car turns on fine, dome light works, all lights work except on gauge and car alarm will roll windows up when activated. But it keeps blowing the gauge fuse after I put 5 in, all blown up once I start the car. Anyone know what the problem is? I need to be able to fix this asap.
Nevermind. We just taped a few wires not knowing really what we were doing and all of a sudden it works, but we have a 5A fuse in there and so I should go pick up some 10A. I agree. In fact, when I was about 18 years old an djust had my license, I replaced the car radio, and it kept blowinga fuse. So I put aluminium foil over the fuse, but that blew teh fuse wire on teh battery (prety thick wire), then I soldered a new big wire there, and later in teh week during driving, lots of smoke from under the dash, and teh engine cut out.
I had fried pretty much all the wires under the dash. My dad was not happy! |
