I can pickup a 01 1MZ with VVTi from a Lexus ES300 for a good price. Im just worndering if it'll be a good canidate for a swap into my 98 GT. Im just worried about obd2 emissions...... thanks

It runs on the CoilOnPlug (cop) setup, plus there's the transponder issue for security if your planning to run the stock ECU (reflash to remove the code at a dealership is possible). Overall, those motors have the best emissions if your running the stock ECU. It should fit, although the wiring will be a bit of a pain. Are you going to swap everything over or just the motor and run aftermarket ECU? It eats only premium fuel, but it rides like a champ especially with VVT-i.
