so my ebay header is definitely fading the paint on my hood. I planned on getting it repainted anyhow because there's a lot of chips. I was wondering if I should install some insulation under the hood(it has none) or send my header off to jet-hot for a ceramic coating. Which would be more effective? Any other suggestions always appreciated

My Celica bonnet went the same way...tried buffing it out but it always came back to haunt me. I managed to buy another Celica hood for 99p and picked it up myself only 20 miles away...it came with the optional bonnet sound proofing which will stop this happening again.
This was last year and so far it works perfectly. I have also had my exhaust wrapped which has reduced the engine bay temps...again this has been on my vehicle for about 2 years or more without any problems and 220k miles done. |
