So I'm driving to dinner with my gf, and I went to signal to change lanes and right as I touch the signal switch my airbag MIL begins to flicker. When we get there, and I park, I tried moving the steering wheel and using the turn signal switch. It seems that it's just a loose connection, or wires being moved slightly when I turn the wheel or use the turn signal.
If somone could shed some light on this problem for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not sure if it's a serious problem with the airbag functioning properly, the turn signal switch, or a problem with some wiring. Vehicle is a 94 celica gt hatch, 5spd, no cruise and no fogs. Thanks, Erich |

Most likely there's a problem with the clock spring [wiring that allows the wheel to turn], or a connector for said wiring.
They're both on the steering column behind the steering wheel. -------------------- ![]() |
