Hey guys,
I need to know what the grounds for my car are. I looked around on the forums, but I couldn't find it. If it is on here than someone please direct me to the topic. The ones that I see are: Battery Grounds: (I read on here that the negative terminal needs to split into two?) ![]() Chassis - Throttle Body Chassis - Alternator ![]() Chassis - Engine Bay And what looks like to me Chassis - Tranny (can't see the wire in the pic, just a general idea of where it is going) ![]() Thank you in advance! BIG 3 is upgrading the grounding wires on your car.
As My Battery is in front I have done the folowing: 1) removed all OEM Cables (not nessasary but I wanted all Blue cables) 2) Replaced the Battery to Chassy with a 8GA cable and attached a "distributer" -(The silver thing) 3) Replaced the main cable to the block (on my car just next to the Starter motor) with 4GA cable (the big one) 4) Replaced the cable on the left side of the block with new 8GA cable and also ran a new 8GA cable from that block mount point back to the "distributer" 5) Replaced the cable on the right side of the block to go directly to the "distributer" The 4GA wire going from his alternator to his positive terminal is to give the electricity the best path (with low resistance) to the Battery - This is the same as upgading the groun wires. The point of this is Bigger Cables = less resistance for the same length of cable and thus improving the Electical system. -------------------- WWSideWinder - 1996 - 3S-FE - Auckland New Zealand
