Hi everyone, quick question.
When I drive along I hear a knocking noise from the floor. It happens normally under heavy acceleration. I can also feel it through the floor. My friend reckons it's the gearbox and I'm inclined to agree, but I wanted to see what everyone else has to say about it. I know next to nothing about car mechanics, so would this mean I'd have to get my gearbox replaced or some such? |

Pull the ebrake, put it in first gear and drop the clutch at friction point then go in reverse and do the same (without stalling lol) back and forth so the car will pull forward and backward. If you hear a clunk, you'r tranny mount is due.
