air bypass or blow off valve... same thing.. both bleed off pressure before it reaches the turbo.. different brands make different sounds.. and depending what sensor is on your car ie an AFM u cannot vent to astmophere.. it has to be recivculated.. and if the opening is inclosed to feed the o2 to the turbo inlet the sound will be muffled.

correct me if sensors or tech info is wrong..
