Quick Questions, exhaust related... Options

First, I have no idea what kind of resonator to get... I guess there's no real difference in any of them but how they affect the sound, but I'm looking around and I see all these different types of resonators, just dont know which one to pick

Second, round or oval magnaflow high flow cat?

The shape of a catalytic converter is irrelevant, except that ovals fit under the car better -- more ground clearance. The question is matching the type of converter (e.g. TWC, TWC with air, etc) and its capacity (engine size).

However, I do have to point out that MagnaFlow offers a universal catalytic converter design with a resonated core; two-in-one function saves space in your exhaust design.

Be aware that almost every piece of aftermarket exhaust equipment you see labelled as a resonator is not a resonator. All these underbody round mufflers are just that, mufflers. MagnaFlow's are a good design, Cherry Bombs are bad, but they are mufflers rather than resonators. The Celica, like almost every car manufactured, comes with a stock resonator. Get under your car and tap it; it will ring like a bell. A muffler, particularly the straight-through mufflers popular for underbody use, absorb sound via insulation. A resonator is an echo chamber, bouncing sound waves off each other to cancel out the noise. Mufflers deal with volume; resonators deal with tone.

I found it via the Car Sound/MagnaFlow website; you're looking for ones in the 94400 range. The 2.25" one is the 94404.
