Hey everyone,
I have a 1996 GT-S Convertible. It is a 5-speed manual. So far, my gas mileage has been coming in at about 22-23 miles per gallon. I drive a fairly blended combination of open freeway and around town. Does this seem right? I expected I would doing better than this. Still love the car, but surprised... |

Yeah, my mileage tops at 34. Which was mostly highway. I can get as low as 28 though, when I'm flooring it, redlining it, and really being rough with the car.
I'm all about gas mileage though, I track it every time I fill up. I average a little over 30 -- about 31. 1996 ST 5 speed, 73,XXX miles, no modifications at all, not even an exhaust or rims. NOTE: I also do city cruising (30mph constants) in 5'th gear. I think this helps my gas mileage quite a bit, and it doesn't make my engine choke or anything. |
