I have a 1994 st i hate the gov speed limiter it wont let me go faster than 125
It doesnt bug me now but it will, im doing alot of things to the engine and car and i know in the future i will need to get rid of the gov speed limiter. Does anyone know how i can do this? Do you need a new chip? Is it a wire that just need to be cut? please help me out i cant find **** on the net to do this |

Well theres a couple of ways of getting around it. You can cut the speed wire from the tranny and so the ecu will think you are going 0mph, but thats not great for the a/f ratio. You can put a switch on it so that it'll work fine until you wanna go over, and you can turn it off. You wont kno how fast your going.
Another way is getting something that will actually cut the limiter, which will cost you money. I think GReddy makes somethign? I"m not sure where the link i had was but its a Speed Cut Controller, something like that. I have an RSM (Rev/Speed Meter) and that cuts the the limiter of 112 on my ECU (JDM ecu's are limited to 180KMH, Jap Law). -------------------- |
