the difference is the springloaded aftermarket BOVs blow metered air off into the atmosphere, making the motor run rich. this is why stock, most applications use a ABV or BPV... these recirculate the air back into the intake, so you dont loose the air, and the motor wont run rich. SSQV is the only aftermarket BOV that im aware of to utilize a non-springloaded system, which has a twin chambered air system. this allows for quicker and more precise action, but with the 2nd staggered larger chamber, it allows for large ammounts of air to escape for large boost applications. the stock ones use the dual chamber setup, but it doesnt allow for large ammounts of air to escape
