 idle problems, My car is idling very oddly |

Whenever I turn my car on the rpm's are at 2 and they'll stay there, if I brake hard they may start going up and down between one and two thousand. Any ideas anybody?

Just had my 6G repaired after it started to do exhibit the exact same problem.
Local name for the faulty component was the "Idle Motor." (read "Servo")which is mounted in the throttle body unit. Toyota Genuine Part was priced in excess of $Aust 600. My repairer fitted a non genuine (but made in Japan) unit, at 1/2 the cost. (Go figure-- who is making a buck here) Problem solved now. |
