on mr2oc.com the 3071 peaks at 5k rpm (ats kit)... im just wondering and i know this is stating it very simple; would a 5sfe hit peak boost earlier 4800 with same mods due to +.2 OR later due to FE head?
i just need a rule of thumb to determine 5sfe compared to 3sgte... eg. spool times; lower / later rpms? cheers, cal This post has been edited by NGHTKD: May 28, 2009 - 9:50 AM |

cal..the 3071 spools alot sooner than 5k rpm. think more like ~4k, sooner on a stroker.
this is one example, at 19 and 22 psi : ![]() mind you, these are 3rd gear pulls, 4th gear will spool a few hundered rpm sooner. link to original thread on mr2oc http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=3406...;highlight=3071 i would expect the 3071 to spool ~ 36-3800rpm on a properly setup 5sfte. I split this off from mk7celica's thread so that we could discuss this without going on about it in his thread. ![]() -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
