Ok so heres the deal. i have a dog, hes a pitbull/chow-chow mix. when im home or when anyone is around hes an amazingly good dog. its when i leave...terror! he is about the most destructive dog i have ever seen. he tears up anything left on the table, knocks the chairs and stools over, even tears up the carpet! im at my wits end with him, hes 2 years old and i thought he would be through this by now. anyone know what i can do?

HUMM..it seems as if you dont spent enough time with your dog? sayin you work 10 hour day..if i was the dog i would be super bored and of course push myself into a destructive behavior just to get some attention. diggin holes and chewing things up..if you research it leads to the dog being bored. i too have 2 full-blooded pit bulls and they are the sweetest and nices dogs in the world..but one thing with any pit bull breed is that they are very very high energy dogs and needs alot of attention. but in your case you only have one dog so i do recommend getting a buddy for your dog.
