If i decided to turbo my 5sfe engine would my auto tranny remain unharmed or would I need to replace it? I don't want any people saying why auto, lol I got the car for 5,000$ and it was an extremely good deal. 1997 Celica GT convertible with 48k miles how could I. I would only want to push around 200hp with maybe 210ft lb torque.

Hmmm...didn't Solaras use an auto transmission as well? That should work, assuming an auto was available on the same engines as used an E153.

That should work, assuming an auto was available on the same engines as used an E153. solara uses the same auto tranny as 90-99 celica's if your talking soarer, its rear wheel drive. but the solara/camry use the e153.
