So I did something pretty careless when I did all 4 brakes about 6 months ago... I lost the little pins that go in the front to separate the pads from the rotors. I know... you don't need to tell me I'm a moron lol. I haven't seen any problems in either braking or excessive brake wear but when I turn the car I can hear the pads up against the rotor for a few seconds and after coming to a stop they scrape for a few seconds. (It just briefly sounds like a faulty Catalytic converter). So........ can I find replacements for this at a local shop or online or should I look to get them from another member who's parting out? Could I make them? lol Whats my best option?

What exactly do you mean by "pins"?
There are shims and spring clips. No pins that I've ever seen. At least I hope you don't mean the big slide pins/bolts that the caliper slides on ![]() Edit: if you mean the V-shaped spring wires, those are NOT to separate anything. Those are anti-squeal devices and yes, they are available from your Toyota dealer for about $20 a set IIRC. If your pads are dragging on the rotor, check to make sure the caliper slides easily and the pads are installed properly. Also use brake grease at all sliding points.
