im looking at respraying my gen6, thinking of changing colour from dark blue to either black or a lighter blue (seen a few rover MG zr's in a nice shade of blue),
just wondering if anyone on here could give me a guide as to how much paint i would need to buy,

primer/base coat?
top coat colour?

could do with guide as to how much paint and thinners if using spray guns,
and how many rattle can it would take,
im no expert so probably a bit of waste

only spray paint your car if:
1. you hate it
2. you want to ruin all of its resale value

I agree with you to a point...however, if you have the skills and prepared to learn to do it properly with the proper equipment then why not. This is key to a top job naturally.

There are plenty of custom spray jobs on this forum which have looked really great.

If I didn't respray my car I would still have plenty of stone chips, parking trolley dents etc that make the car look only good from a distance.
