im looking at respraying my gen6, thinking of changing colour from dark blue to either black or a lighter blue (seen a few rover MG zr's in a nice shade of blue),
just wondering if anyone on here could give me a guide as to how much paint i would need to buy, primer/base coat? top coat colour? could do with guide as to how much paint and thinners if using spray guns, and how many rattle can it would take, im no expert so probably a bit of waste |

yeah, get a nice job... don't use spray paint. ask around for some local guys. i got mine painted for $1400. it was a 2 stage job, base coat, clear coat... 6p3 green a medium pearl (the more pearl the more $$$ you pay). i got some minor body work (fenders welded, rear wheel well cleaned up, etc.), sideskirts installed, hood pins installed and a carbon fiber hood buffed out... not a bad price... it was a friend, but i'm sure you can find guys like that almost anywhere, you just have to look. good luck.
