So 2 weeks after I installed my 98spec 5S, i discovered that my timing is at 5degrees (obd scanner) vs 10degrees in the manual. I tried turning the distributor but it wouldn't budge much. Does this mean I did the timing belt wrong and installed the belt 1 tooth over? Thanks!

Not sure on what the cause of the problem is however I believe on the 96 and up 5sfe you can't turn the distributor to change the timing, the ECU controls it. On the 94-95 you can turn it, difference is on the 96 and up the distributor can only go in one way.
