So 2 weeks after I installed my 98spec 5S, i discovered that my timing is at 5degrees (obd scanner) vs 10degrees in the manual. I tried turning the distributor but it wouldn't budge much. Does this mean I did the timing belt wrong and installed the belt 1 tooth over? Thanks!

http://www.toyotacelicaonline.com/timing.htm check your timing CORRECTLY before wasting money. while you can't advance timing at all on your 96, the procedure to check it is the same as the 91.
