make sure you get FIA certified seats dude

it kinda depends on what you want to do with the seat if it justifies spending the increas of price due to the FIA certification. If its just for the streets, FIA certification is not really needed, but in the same hand you will want to buy a seat from a reputable company. If he's going to be use the car for driving competitions, then meeting the certifications of the sanctioning body is well worth buying a more expensive certified seat.

reason i say this is because i would really like to run buddy club seats, but they are pending FIA certs, so I can't use them in stage rallies. I will most likely go with a sparco seat, just need to save the money. i cannot stress enough though about getting a seat from a reputable company like recaro, corbeau, buddy club, sparco, bride, status, etc. the cheap ones on ebay look like a good deal, but how much do you value your spine and ability to walk if you get in an accident?

actually it does matter ALL the time. non certified seats have shown to break MUCH MUCH easier than a certified seat. Since you are more likely to get into a collision on the street a proper seat is THAT much more important.

and oh man the seat setups i've seen on this site, i'd never step into a lot of the cars here with them...
