i am looking in to lowering my car. i have decided on springs not coilovers and my question is can i install lowering springs without putting in new shocks. if yes do i need aftermarket shocks or will factory shocks suffice?

Factory shocks don't last much past 60,000mi. (as i have read..)
More than likely your old shocks are due for replacement anyway, and if you put lowering springs on them you are gonna notice that you need new ones pretty soon. so.. KYB struts/shocks ARE oem. Just hold off on installing until you have an extra $225ish for the KYB stuff, that way you're not doing two uninstallations and two reinstallations. x2. There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out.
