I'm planning to trade my car with a 94 st. The owner replaced the clutch with stage 1. If you step on the clutch and hold it for 5 seconds it won't allow me to shift. I have to turn off the engine to be able to shift. But it shifts fine as long as you won't hold the clutch with that span of time. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know much about what it could be but, i'd look and see if the slave is working correctly, maybe something to do with the pressure plate? just a thought
