Title says it all, anyone know the weight difference between a stock hood and a cf hood?
If not, how about any other oem part vs. it's cf counter-part? -------------------- |

the other day i went to super autotoyz, formally known as superautobacs. And they have a ek9 civic with a carbon fiber hood. the hood was open and I lifted the hood with one hand and it felt very flimsy and not durable at all. Ok so i understand that there is no such thing as a full carbon fiber hood. Its a fiberglass hood wrapped in carbon fiber.
So if I wanted to replace my stock hood with a fiberglass hood and paint it red, this would be possible right. I'm guessing that the idea of a fiberglass hood isnt such a great idea, since any slight bit off pressure on the hood and you would see a dent on it. So thats why they wrap fiberglassed hoods in carbon fiber to keep strong and durable. Im just trying to shave some weight off my car. What brand should i choose, which one should i not buy. Im looking for oem carbon fiber hood style Do you neeed hood pins???
