I'm doing some research to turbo my 5sfe and saw that some other forums said the exhaust manifold on the 3sge and 5sfe engines were the same. I was wondering if this was correct and if I would run into any problems throwing a 3sge turbo on my 5sfe motor. Any info?

Keep in mind the 3SGE manifold is a two-piece, and unfortunately it is often advertised as the 3SGE manifold but sold only with the 4-2 section. You then either have to source another 2-1 section or have it made. Then, as trdproven noted, the rest of the exhaust is different. Main concern is the mid-pipe, where you have to locate a catalytic converter and a resonator, as well as a flex pipe.
