Do I need to put oil in my oil filter when changing the oil in my 96 GT?
Or just screw it on and then add all the oil to the oil fill? |

Yes, wrong forum.
But to answer your quick question so the mods can close it down, you do not have to put oil in your filter when replacing it. When you turn your car on for the first time the filter will fill with oil, so after letting the car run for 30 seconds or so, shut it off and recheck your oil, as your filter will now be full and you'll be ~ 1/4 quart low. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
