anyone know anything about wheel spacers like
what are good brands? are they good for my car or bad? how big should they be to get the wheels flush with the fenders from stock? and any other info you could help me with |

ok well how about in beefyT case. He has 57 gram light wheels. He said they are 16 X 7 with +42 offset with 195 50 R16 tires. I saw his car the other day and his rims look really tucked in why is that?? Does the width of the tire have anything to do with how the rims look. What is the offset for the 15" celica gt rims, are the +38 offset. Is +42 offset fine for our celicas?? What happens if you get +45 vs +35 offset rims, does this affect driveability/steering??

What happens if you get +45 vs +35 offset rims, does this affect driveability/steering?? +42, while not far from +35, is still a pretty large jump in terms of offset. They will be sucked into the fenders a bit. I had 17x7 Rays G-Games on my first Celica that were +42 and it fits fine and won't negatively affect drivability or steering, it is just further in than other wheels. Width of the wheel does matter to a certain degree, because there will be more wheel on both sides of the centerline (7" wheel has 3.5" on either side, a 10" wheel will have 5" on either side) but you probably don't want to go bigger than a 7" wheel at +42 or else you'll be getting a little closer than you want to the strut body. Width of the tire will make the wheel look more flush than it is, but only to a certain point. Remember that you only have a handful of mm's between your rim and the strut body, and the larger tire you have the closer you are coming to rubbing the strut. In beefyT's situation he could probably bump his tire width to 215 and be okay, but I wouldn't go much bigger. Celica GT wheels are +39 IIRC. And the difference between +35 and +45 (assuming wheel sizes are the same) is that you have almost a half inch less clearance between the rim and the strut and sunk in almost a half inch more. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
