I'll be porting/polishing my cyl-head and sending my cams out to webcams (294 grind)...here's some quick questions...
1) With the head work (no shaving or milling, just porting and polishing (combustion chamber and exhaust side) will I need stiffer springs for the cams? 2) What do I need to do for the stock valves? Replace or re-shim? I have no clue here. Also, I checked out Jim Snoodgrass (he used only a 294 grind webcam and kept the stock exhaust cam, if I did that too...what would be the benefit vs. both, intake and exhaust 294's????? OK, I guess I made a mistake then, I got the mild set (thought it was the 101 grind), not the aggressive ones because the sales rep told me I would be able to bolt them in without any other mods. Less, the shims like you mentioned.
