 Optima Red top battery install |

I have a red top that i just got, for dirt cheap. but its the wrong one where the positive terminal is far. I am assuming already the wires wont reach but I've seen dustin brown running it so it seems like there is a way to work it or extend it. Also i heard to our battery terminals won't fit over the battery posts. Worse case, I'll try to get the red top part number that actually has the pos terminal closest to the harness.

Whats so special about these batteries? Most customers I sold these too in the past complain that there pieces of expensive crap.

Optima batteries hold a higher voltage under loads. I've dealt with jump starting vehicles with a dead battery hooked up to a massive truck with the engine reving. The dead battery was eating up all the cranking power and the car would not start. When i pulled out a optima red top and gave it a go, the vehicle started right up. With that said, I still don't use optima batteries. You can shoe horn a 65 series battery in the celica with 1000cca. That is 200cca more then a red top at the fraction of the cost. |
