Just curious, but will any grade but 87 (what the car is made for and what I put in) hurt the car over prolonged use? I can understand it not affecting it with one fill up, but what's the real advantage of putting in a higher octane if it's not really doing anything?
Lastly, and only slightly related, I accidentally put about one quarter of 5W 30 instead of 10 (got one that was 5w 30 by mistake because it was with the 10W 30 bottles and I didn't notice). By the time I noticed, of course almost half of the 2 quart bottle was poured in. Besides a bit of a shutter at start up this morning, I haven't noticed any performance issues. Am I alright? PS: I was so low, I ended up putting 2 quarts of 10W 30 in along with the 1 quart of 5W 30... which I'm kinda hoping balanced it out. Sorta. -------------------- ![]() |
