I recently got my distributor replaced, and I know that there can't be any reason why that would make my speakers stop working, because they were playing when I drove away from the mechanic. I went home and turned the car off, and went to my room for a bit to put more songs on my mp3 player to play in my car. Went out to my car, turned it on, turned on my mp3 player, had it plugged it, no sound. I am sooooo ****ing pissed off, like the equalizer shows that it's playing, but there is absolutely no sound. I tried fooling with the wires in the back, I tried disconnecting the negative from the battery. It can't be the speakers, they're not even two years old. What else could be the problem?

assuming you have stock sound system, there is a radio fuse in the inside panel, and there is an "x" fuse in your engine bay fuse panel. Check those two. but you wouldnt have to check these fuses if you saw power going to your player. in the first place if you have stock setup how did you blow it? unless you have a stock player running high wattage speakers, or your aftermarket player just broke. These run only built in amps. unless you have mute settings or another amp running that has problems.
