I recently got my distributor replaced, and I know that there can't be any reason why that would make my speakers stop working, because they were playing when I drove away from the mechanic. I went home and turned the car off, and went to my room for a bit to put more songs on my mp3 player to play in my car. Went out to my car, turned it on, turned on my mp3 player, had it plugged it, no sound. I am sooooo ****ing pissed off, like the equalizer shows that it's playing, but there is absolutely no sound. I tried fooling with the wires in the back, I tried disconnecting the negative from the battery. It can't be the speakers, they're not even two years old. What else could be the problem?

Ok, looks like fun! So, that blue wire that is no longer attached to your stereo is I believe why you don't have sound, that's an amp signal wire, that needs to hook up to the amp signal wire which i believe should also be blue, the blue wire from the stereo tells the amp to turn on. So if the amp doesn't turn on then your not going to get sound. When I put subs in my i hooked the amp signal wire to the sub amp bit not back to the system amp and it resulted is no sound. when you get the new stereo, the easiest thing to do would be to get the harness adapter above, you can get it from crutchfield.com, bestbuy should have it, if there are any car audio stores in your area they should definatley be able to get it for you. I would post a picture of how I wired my stereo but my Celica is currently at home 3 hours away frown.gif
