ok heres the thing i just finished my engine swap...... all vac lines are hookes up right...... electrical checks good...... engine is outta a mr2 jdm..... can anyone tell me what the hell is going on ..... on the interstate once i get to 4k rpm the engine starts cutting out like its the fuel is being cut off and i cant reach over 4.5k before the engine wont go any higher...... any thoughs .... any?

Sorry i guess it did sound like that, but what i meant when i told you i shut off my BC it was an AFTERMARKET BC a APEXi AVCR. I wasn't setting the scramble right thats why my engine would cut off at about 4500rpms. SO NO the 3sgte does not have a stock boost control that you can mess with. I have the '92 JDM 3sgte. Try giving the guy that did my swap a call at Evolution in Sacramento. He works from about 5-8pm Mon.-Fri. and all day Saturday. His email is GT4mac@yahoo.com he KNOWS his TOYOTA's. He swaped a SR20DET in an AE86. So i trust him. You guys should hit him up. The scary thing was that i was messing with my BC it was when i was driving up in the canyons and it cut off as i passed cars on oncoming traffic....  David |
