Ok, here is my problem. In between removing my 02 sensor wire from headers to stock manifold, I accidentally ripped the wire, but it isn't on the side of the 02 sensor, it is from the connector that the 02 sensor plugs into and that is connected to the car. I tried to solder it, and it was a good temp fix, however my check engine light is on now and I knew it was that, as I had a look and it is. I don't have a soldering gun, I used that needle like thing to do it and I know it sucks, but that is all I have right now. The wire is cut off really really close to the connector to where it is difficult to get some good solder in there to hold them together, so it isn't a matter of just cutting some wire to make it work. Can those connectors be taken apart to crimp some more wire in there? And if so, how do I take it apart to do so? I know that is a n00bish question, although I dunno if that piece is car specific and I do not want to mess anything up. The car drives fine, just that check engine light is really irritating me right now.

why not buy a new oxy sensor. you should replace them every 60k miles anyways. I knew someone was going to respond without reading everything, or maybe I just didn't explain it well enough.. Hard without a photo, I know. It's not the 02 sensor... It is the other plug wire that it connects to. Like this (02 Sesnor)====(plug)><(plug)= "The wire is ripped!" ===(then this wire connects to your vehicle wherever)======== Key: ===== is the wire(s) This post has been edited by Random_Stranger: Nov 13, 2009 - 11:51 PM -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
