Removing all the good stuff to take off less rotating mass, would that even be worth loosing A/C in like 100 degree heat?

Yah, I'm pretty nuts when it comes to weight reduction and parasitic loss reduction, but I wouldn't even do that. Modern p/s pumps don't take much power to run at all, maybe 1hp. The AC shouldn't take hardly anything at all when its off.
This used to be a good idea on old cars because the pumps were really really innefficient and the AC compressors weighed 50lbs. Times have changed. |
