found the oil leak that I was looking for, was coming from the oil pump o ring on the flange with the oil pump cam seal...so I fixed that
put the timing belt back on, covers, accessory belts on and stuff, went for a start and it just cranks over without ever starting. the crank is pretty strong, so I don't think its the battery. if I press in the gas while cranking, I can hear it put'ing alittle. there was some gas on the spark plugs but I don't think that would be the problem..or would it? any pointers where I could back track? I have thursday open to take it back apart to re-check/set the timing but I'm not sure what else I could look at. |

'98 means the distributor isn't able to turn. OBDII.
http://www.celicatech.com/imagearchive/bgbonline/bgb.php That may help for a manual. Edit: wow, not distributor ABLE to turn, the opposite =_= This post has been edited by solidxsnake: Nov 24, 2009 - 12:35 AM -------------------- ~Moving on to a 2002 Corolla S~ R.I.P Tom Celica - 1994-2010 |
