right now im on my 205/40/17's on my 17x7 rims i just curbed them a lil and am having bad thoughts
will les swaub(or however you spell it) stretch the a lil closer to the lip? if so does anyone know how much it cost? -------------------- |

i run 225/45zr17 tires on my tc wheels and they work well. they clear just fine and ride well. as far as stretching goes, we don't drive VW's, so hell no. all joking aside, its a horrible idea. think about it this way, the sidewall is the main structure of the tire that carries the load (force being applied to the tire) and stretching it to an angle it wasn't designed to be run at seriously decreases the integrity of the tire. also as stated above, since the sidewall will be streched, your chances of puncturing the sidewall goes up a lot and because of liability reasons, 99% of tire shops will not repair any sidewall damage.
