Here's my story. I was driveing In Pollock Pine's, It was winter, but no snow. I was takeing this left, It was a wide left turn a little long too, Im rockin out to the music, Then, my 6gc just spins out, Now Im going side's down this turn, one side there a ditch, on the other...a cliff...Im trying to correct the turn and I look to the right...Two vans are comeing....."F@$!" Im gonna die!" I thought to myself, Then, the tire's caught and I rolled backward's Into the ditch, just In time. I was hella shakeing, I started her up again, and pulled out of the ditch and Into a flat area. Left her running got out of the car, still hella shakeing, lit a cigarette, and just looked at her. Man, that was some crazy **** that day.

I haven't had any bad experiences in my Celica other than someone almost sideswiping me. However, I have had a few REALLY bad senarios in my Prius. Here's a couple:
It was winter with a good layer or snow on the highway. This is when my commute was over an hour long to work. I was on the highway with everyone else, giving myself tons of room behind the person in front of me because my Prius is horrible in the snow. All of a sudden, the two cars ahead of me hit each other, their headlights showing them spinning full circle at least 3 times. I slam on my brakes, but like the other two people, find myself on a solid sheet of ice with my car not slowing down worth a damn. The two cars ahead of me start to veer off the road and I pass them just as soon as they spin off into the snow covered grass. The car decided to get a bit of traction about 30 feet after that and I started to slow down. Not only was it pure luck that I missed them, but I still am amazed I was able to maintain being straight and not spin out like the other two did. The second was when it was raining heavily in downtown Columbus. There is this one sharp turn in the highway with a cement wall on the left. Because of the wall, you can't see on the other end of the turn. Remember, my Prius is horrid in snow or rain. I'm driving down this road and get to the curve, and the SUV in front of me literally leaps into the air, with his two front wheels over the cement wall. He had hit a long line of cars that he couldn't see because of this blind spot. I was following too close behind him and tried to hit my brakes, but instantly noticed I had no grip, and without looking in a split second decision, veered off into the middle lane. Luckily I didn't hit anyone and the lane was free. I barely missed hitting his SUV. Probably by less than a foot. THere were at least 10 cars in that pile up at the time I went by. The white car behind me ended up hitting the SUV I missed. Those are two of the scariest situations I was in. Makes you realize just how lucky you are. Hopefully, that luck will keep up ![]() This post has been edited by CastrolCelica: Dec 2, 2009 - 10:02 AM -------------------- ![]() |
