I have trannies with LSD's I'm only keeping one, the issue is, one is a mechanical TRD LSD and the other is a hellical TRD LSD.
of course the guy who got them for me, didn't mark them down, so I don't know which one is which. I want to keep the hellical as is maintance free, oppose to the mechanical that uses clutches. if you have any idea of how to identify each without taking the engine apart, please share the acknowledge. almost forgot, these are E series trannies This post has been edited by Culpable04: Dec 2, 2009 - 12:11 PM -------------------- ![]() |

the part number for mechanical LSD that fits the E series tranny are
41301-SW202 41301-SW211 they are both discontinued TRD LSD Oil A0420-A0000 ( this is the one recommended for FF, there is a different one for FR ) rebuild parts are still available in Japan Shim 40101-SW201 Repair kit 40107-AW111 also when I say E series trannies, I mean E153, E51, E58 even tho these transmission are bolted to 3sgte, V6 and 4agze engines they all use the same LSD diffetential, and unless I missed something on my research ( just now ) there was no hellical LSD made for these transmission, which sucks as it means that I have to order a rebuild kit ( ~ 200 shipped ) in order to trust such LSD.
