Still in planning stages eh? Engine still gonna be for sale? Planning on this is going to take a lot of time/thinking, but honestly, planning is only going to help so much until you get into the project..... I hope you the best of luck, what info/advice are you looking for specifically? A, you know you will have to extend out the front to the point of headache, where since you have a good skill for bodywork/fiberglass it would be an easier start to get the front part of a supra and weld that to the front, then you have the whole front end problem done, just make it look like a celica with some fiberglass if you'd like, then your next step is to figure out what your gonna do about the firewall back. Post up some specific questions. Most of the feedback you will get on here is going to be negative if you are asking about the swap in general(sorry to say, one of the downfalls, yes they are being realists for the most part, but constructive criticism and suggestions work a lot better, even if this is #1000). Just post up specific questions like, whats a decent tranny to use with this engine, what would be the best path to route a new rwd set up on your car(that one can get good responses because there are members who have done this, yet you will still get the posts about, oh its too much work/too much cost, just get another car), stuff like that might prove better results and what you're looking for.
Anyways, good luck bro and happy planning. Keep up all the good work. -------------------- |
