Heya im thinking about taking off that fabric stuff under the bonnet cus not sure what its for and is getting worn, is there any danger in me doing this and would i need to get nething to cover the hole where the grill is in my bonnet if so what do i need?

thanks guys do i need to buy anything to cover the engine for when it rains could water damage occur if nothing is there?
