So I have a st205 swapped celica and I'm debating on how to move forward with it. I've already put a couple k in it but I'm at a point where if I put anymore money into it I might as well keep the car forever because I'll never get what I put into it back if I were to sell it down the road kindasad.gif I've been in contact with a local shop about a full engine build and tune and I'm not really sure if it's worth moving forward with it. This car is primarily a show car / nice weather driver...so maybe it's worth saving my pennies and getting something I can fix up and drive everyday. I see many members on here selling their swapped celicas. What do you guys think?

Instead of dumping more money into it, why don't you just keep it and enjoy it?

Dumping too much money into a car is overrated. In the end you still have a Celica, only now it will break more often, cost more to repair and you won't want to drive it like you used to because it's harsh and you're scared to wreck something you have that much time/money invested into.

You already have some power, now just focus on enjoying it keeping it in good condition maintenance-wise. Now you have more time to focus on other aspects of your life (relationships/career/children/hobbies).

Or you can take up racing (auto-x/time attack) and get into the real car hobby. That's what I did and I haven't regretted it yet. biggrin.gif
